A Suffolk County standout will be staying on Long Island as his soccer career takes the next step. American Soccer Club-New York has announced the signing of goalkeeper Logan Guzik to a one-year deal for the 2026 National Premier Soccer League season.

The Long Island native is currently a sophomore at Sacred Heart University, where he continues to develop his game at the collegiate level. Guzik expressed excitement about beginning this new chapter close to home. He said he is grateful for the opportunity to play for ASC New York and is eager to represent the club both on and off the field. He also shared confidence in the team’s ability to compete for the top spot in the region this season.

Guzik built a strong foundation during a successful high school career at Patchogue-Medford High School, where he was a four-year varsity player. His consistency and leadership helped establish him as one of the area’s respected young goalkeepers.

ASC New York head coach John Fitzgerald praised the newest addition to the roster. Fitzgerald noted that Guzik came highly recommended and pointed to his work ethic, dedication to improvement, and impressive showing during the club’s tryout process. He added that the organization believes Guzik will be a positive part of the team’s goalkeeping group.

Guzik’s soccer résumé already includes valuable experience beyond school competition. He completed a two-week trial with the SoccerVisa Player Development Center and spent ten years playing for Atletico F.C. New York. He also competed with the Patchogue-Medford Youth Soccer League and represented East Meadow Soccer Club in the Elite Clubs National League.

Guzik said the culture around the team has been outstanding from the start and added that many players on the roster already know one another from the local soccer scene. With familiar faces, strong chemistry, and high expectations, the Suffolk standout now looks ready for an exciting professional opportunity close to home.
