Three seniors from Miller Place High School have earned an impressive opportunity after qualifying at the Regional Gymnastics Meet for spots on the Developmental Program National Gymnastics Team.

Savannah Musso turned in a standout performance across multiple events. Musso placed second on vault, fourth on beam, fourth on floor, and fifth in the all-around competition. Her consistency and strong showings in several events helped secure her place among the top competitors advancing to nationals.

Paige Reitan also delivered an outstanding day at regionals. Reitan captured first place on vault and first place on floor, while also finishing fourth on bars and fourth in the all-around standings. Her first-place finishes highlighted an impressive performance and showed why she will be one to watch at the next level of competition.

Jake Mancini rounded out the talented group by placing eighth in the all-around competition out of a field of 52 gymnasts. Competing against such a large and talented group makes the accomplishment even more notable, as Mancini earned a place among the meet’s top performers.

For Miller Place, having three seniors qualify for a national event is a proud moment for the school and community. Reaching this stage requires years of dedication, discipline, and countless hours of training. The success of Musso, Reitan, and Mancini reflects not only their individual talent, but also the strength of the gymnastics program.

The trio will now prepare for the Developmental Program National Gymnastics Championships, scheduled for May 9 through May 11 in Oklahoma City. There, they will compete against some of the best gymnasts from across the country.

As graduation approaches, these three seniors still have one more major chapter to write. Representing Miller Place on the national stage is a tremendous accomplishment and a fitting reward for their hard work and commitment.
