The Long Island Ducks continue to shape their roster ahead of the upcoming season, announcing the return of right-handed pitcher Ryan Langford and the addition of outfielder Aaron Takacs.

Langford enters his second season with the Ducks and fourth in professional baseball after serving as a versatile arm in 2025. The 26-year-old appeared in 23 games, including one start, posting a 4.97 ERA with 35 strikeouts across 38 innings. He proved especially effective at home, recording a 2.65 ERA in nine outings at Fairfield Properties Ballpark. Langford also finished five games and frequently delivered in extended outings, including three scoreless innings on July 11 against Lancaster and September 2 at Gastonia.

Prior to his time on Long Island, the Florida native spent two seasons in the Los Angeles Angels organization, reaching Triple-A. Across 59 appearances, he compiled a 3-7 record with a 4.33 ERA, six saves and 100 strikeouts over 106 innings. He began his professional career in 2022 after a stint with the Frederick Keys.

Takacs, meanwhile, brings a strong bat and reliable glove to the Ducks lineup. The 28-year-old played 100 games in the Atlantic League last season, splitting time between the Staten Island FerryHawks and the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars. He posted an impressive .307 batting average with eight home runs, 59 RBIs and a .400 on-base percentage. Defensively, he recorded a .985 fielding percentage with seven outfield assists.

A career .298 hitter, Takacs earned All-Star honors in 2024 with the Lincoln Saltdogs. Both players expressed excitement about contributing to the Ducks’ pursuit of a championship this season.
