River Town and QuakerJack | Michael Polak

The winners of the annual “Best of Long Island” awards, presented by FourLeaf Federal Credit Union, have been announced, and the Long Island Ducks were among the most notable winners. The Ducks were led by their record setting mascot QuackerJack. He was named Best Team Mascot, earning his record-setting 16th consecutive Best of Long Island award overall. In addition, 2025 Ducks standout River Town was voted Best Long Island Duck for the first time. Winners were determined through online voting conducted during the fall of 2025.

QuackerJack thanked everyone who cast ballots for him during this year’s contest and is looking forward to celebrating the honor throughout the 2026 season. The fan-favorite mascot is especially excited to see the Ducks take the field on Opening Night at Fairfield Properties Ballpark on Tuesday, April 21, at 6:35 p.m. The Ducks want everyone to know that season ticket packages, mini plans, and group tickets are currently on sale, with individual game tickets becoming available on March 10 at LIDucks.com. You also can have the record-breaking Duck attend your upcoming event. Just contact Ducks Promotions and Community Relations Manager Gabrielle Hernandez via email.

River Town had a season for the ages and was awarded for his outstanding play. He was selected to the Atlantic League Postseason All-Star Team in 2025. In his first year with the Ducks, Town finished tied for second in the league in on-base percentage (.437) and tied for third in triples (7). He ranked fourth in hits (143) and walks (74) and placed fifth in batting average (.326). Over 117 games, the 26-year-old outfielder recorded 13 home runs, 71 RBIs, and 31 doubles while leading the team in runs scored (92), total bases (227), stolen bases (42), and OPS (.954). Defensively, he committed just three errors across 109 games, posting a .986 fielding percentage.

In addition to the two award wins, the Ducks were nominated in three other Best of Long Island categories. The team’s social media presence, @LIDucks, earned a nomination for Best X Account in the Arts and Entertainment category. Fairfield Properties Ballpark was nominated for Best Family Amusement Place, while the Ducks also received a nod for Best Hot Dog in the food category, further showcasing the organization’s impact both on and off the field.
