Sachem Academy hosts PS I Love You Day with co-founder Jaimie DiPalma

Jaimie DiPalma Co-Founder at PS I Love You Day | PS I Love You Day

Sachem Academy observed PS I Love You Day with a visit from Jaimie DiPalma, co-founder of the movement and a teacher at Cayuga Elementary. DiPalma spoke to students and staff about compassion, inclusion, and the importance of supporting each other.

PS I Love You Day began on Long Island and has expanded to many schools and communities in the region. The initiative focuses on mental health awareness, kindness, and unity. During her visit, DiPalma emphasized that no one is alone and encouraged students to consider how they can "be the light" for others.

Students participated in discussions about empathy, resilience, and small acts of kindness. The event reinforced Sachem Academy’s focus on social-emotional well-being and building a respectful school culture.

The day highlighted how sharing a simple message — “P.S. I Love You” — can have an impact within a community.
