Police Foundation Hosts “Breakfast With The Blue” Fundraiser

Breakfast with the Blue | Suffolk County Police Foundation

Police officers and community supporters will gather for “Breakfast With The Blue” on Saturday, January 10, to raise funds for the Suffolk County Police Foundation. The pancake breakfast fundraiser runs from 8–10 a.m. at three Applebee’s locations in Miller Place, Commack, and Farmingdale, with proceeds going to the Foundation’s mission of supporting police officers, their families, and community programs.

Tickets are $16 in advance and $20 at the door. Attendees will enjoy pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee, and juice served by Suffolk Police Department officers and Police Explorers.

The Foundation provides vital assistance to officers and their families during times of need and supports programs that build community trust and connections. Funds raised through events like “Breakfast With The Blue” help sustain those efforts and strengthen partnerships between law enforcement and the public.

The Foundation’s Lou Tutone said the event is about more than a meal. “This breakfast brings people together for a great cause,” he noted. “It’s an opportunity for residents to meet officers in a friendly setting while supporting the foundation’s work for our community.”

Organizers say the fundraiser is family-friendly and open to the public, encouraging community members to start 2026 on a positive note by supporting local law enforcement and charitable initiatives. Police Explorers, who are young people interested in law enforcement careers, will also assist in serving guests and engaging with attendees.

Community members can purchase tickets in advance online or at participating Applebee’s locations the day of the event. Supporters say events like this deepen ties between residents and officers and highlight the foundation’s ongoing work to support public safety and strengthen community relations across Suffolk County.

Don't Expect Bregman to Pay Off

This week, one of the bigger names in the free agency cycle signed with the Chicago Cubs, and fantasy managers everywhere sighed. Usually, anyone heading to Wrigley Field is viewed as a positive, but for Alex Bregman, more information has emerged suggesting this move could spell trouble for his fantasy outlook. Bregman is a right-handed pull hitter who previously played in two of the more favorable home parks for that profile in Houston and Boston. Both parks feature short left-field dimensions that reward pulled fly balls and help inflate power numbers.

Futures Bettors Will Be Smiling

The College Football Championship is set, and it pits two of the more unlikely teams against each other. Indiana may have the largest living alumni base in the country, with more than 800,000 graduates, but few expected the Hoosiers to reach this stage. They feature zero five-star recruits and have instead relied on depth, discipline, and consistency while dominating all season long.
