Greg Caggiano, Esq., founding partner of Miller & Caggiano, LLP, has been named the 2025 Republican of the Year by the Chairman’s Patriot Club of Suffolk County. This annual honor is presented by GOP Committee Chairman Jesse Garcia.

For Mr. Caggiano, a lifelong Republican, the recognition reflects decades of steady commitment rather than a single moment. He has long believed that political success is built locally, through relationships, listening, and consistency. The award cited his unwavering dedication to the Republican Party, its core values, and its continued strength throughout Suffolk County.

As a founding partner of Miller & Caggiano, LLP, Mr. Caggiano and his partner, Todd Miller, Esq., are equally known for their advocacy on behalf of clients and their generosity beyond the courtroom. Their firm’s philosophy is simple: when the community thrives, everyone benefits. “It just makes sense to help when we can,” Mr. Caggiano often says.

That belief has translated into meaningful action. Among their philanthropic efforts is the purchase of a $20,000 Polaris vehicle for the Ocean Beach Police Department, fully equipped to meet the department’s demanding responsibilities.

Ahead of the Ryder Cup, the firm also donated a golf cart to Bethpage State Park staff, enabling park rangers to respond directly to calls on the golf course—something not possible with conventional vehicles.

The partners further demonstrated their commitment to those who serve by contributing $10,000 to the Calverton-based Warrior Ranch Foundation, an organization that rescues horses and works with veterans and first responders.

Mr. Caggiano, Mr. Miller, and the other attorneys at the firm represent and work with nearly 90 different unions, addressing workplace injury, healthcare, disability, and other benefit-related issues.

Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Caggiano was a longtime union member with the Communications Workers of America. His legal practice focuses on workplace injuries, personal injury, Social Security Disability, and the New York State Disability Retirement System.

Founded in 2004, Miller & Caggiano, LLP currently employs 72 staff members and 14 attorneys.

Don't Expect Bregman to Pay Off

This week, one of the bigger names in the free agency cycle signed with the Chicago Cubs, and fantasy managers everywhere sighed. Usually, anyone heading to Wrigley Field is viewed as a positive, but for Alex Bregman, more information has emerged suggesting this move could spell trouble for his fantasy outlook. Bregman is a right-handed pull hitter who previously played in two of the more favorable home parks for that profile in Houston and Boston. Both parks feature short left-field dimensions that reward pulled fly balls and help inflate power numbers.

Futures Bettors Will Be Smiling

The College Football Championship is set, and it pits two of the more unlikely teams against each other. Indiana may have the largest living alumni base in the country, with more than 800,000 graduates, but few expected the Hoosiers to reach this stage. They feature zero five-star recruits and have instead relied on depth, discipline, and consistency while dominating all season long.
