A Hard Knock New Uniform

The New York Giants grabbed headlines this week and neither of the headlines seemed to please the fans.

The Giants unveiled their new retro uniforms and they were met with immediate scorn and ridicule. The Giants new design, which they will wear twice this season, is based off of throwbacks to commemorate their 100th season in football. New York will call them the "Century Red' style but it combines red and blue jerseys, red and blue helmets and brown pants.

The style is a mix of three different commemorative teams. The jersey will reflect the 1933 Giants team. The helmet is for the 1938 team and the pants are from the 1925 season.

Big Blue also made news when it was announced that they were the team chosen to be on Hard Knocks. The documentary series follows one team through training camp with behind the scenes looks at players and the inner workings of an NFL training camp experience. Traditionally teams have shied away from being on the show but years ago the NFL stopped asking permission and made teams be a part of it. The Giants have already said that the series had cameras in the room for the Saquon Barkley decision, the trade for Brian Burns and when they picked Malik Nabers this off season so this could be more intriguing than most years.
