The Williams Floyd Colonials showcased their offense this past weekend and kept their record perfect behind the explosive output.

William Floyd beat Sachem East 48-20 in the scoring fest. The Colonials came out of the tunnel fired up and ready and showed it from the opening kickoff.

William Floyd put up a quick 13 points early in the first quarter then tacked on 23 more in the second quarter to pull out to a daunting 36-14 halftime lead.

AJ Cannet was effective despite only completing 9 passes as he finished with just 12 attempts. Those passes covered 150 yards and a TD. The dual threat QB also added two scores on the ground.

Once the team was out to a big lead it was the Ja’Quan Thomas show. Keeping the ball on the ground and griding out yards all day Thomas finished with over 200 yards rushing and three touchdowns.

The Colonials have had the offense working this season scoring 36 or more points in every game.

Sachem East falls to 1-3, while William Floyd will look to stay unbeaten next week against Ward Melville.

Don't Expect Bregman to Pay Off

This week, one of the bigger names in the free agency cycle signed with the Chicago Cubs, and fantasy managers everywhere sighed. Usually, anyone heading to Wrigley Field is viewed as a positive, but for Alex Bregman, more information has emerged suggesting this move could spell trouble for his fantasy outlook. Bregman is a right-handed pull hitter who previously played in two of the more favorable home parks for that profile in Houston and Boston. Both parks feature short left-field dimensions that reward pulled fly balls and help inflate power numbers.

Futures Bettors Will Be Smiling

The College Football Championship is set, and it pits two of the more unlikely teams against each other. Indiana may have the largest living alumni base in the country, with more than 800,000 graduates, but few expected the Hoosiers to reach this stage. They feature zero five-star recruits and have instead relied on depth, discipline, and consistency while dominating all season long.
