Connor Farrell is back in the Premier Lacrosse League, and the former Sachem East standout is already reminding fans why he remains one of the most dominant faceoff specialists in professional lacrosse.

Through the first two weeks of the 2026 PLL season with the Philly Waterdogs, Farrell leads the league in faceoff percentage at 61 percent while also leading all players with 23 ground balls. He is currently the only player in the PLL winning faceoffs at a rate above 60 percent, the only player with more than 20 ground balls, and the only player to surpass 30 faceoff wins this season.

For lacrosse fans on Long Island, Farrell’s early success comes as no surprise.

The 2014 Sachem East graduate has built a reputation as one of the toughest and hardest-working competitors in the sport. Standing at 6-foot-2 and 240 pounds, Farrell — affectionately known by fans as “The Milkman” — continues to dominate at the X with a combination of strength, quickness, technique, and relentless effort.

A two-time PLL All-Star, Farrell’s return to the professional ranks has immediately made an impact for the Waterdogs. His ability to consistently control possessions has helped create scoring opportunities and momentum for his team during the opening weeks of the season.

Farrell’s lacrosse résumé has been impressive at every level. Before reaching the professional stage, he starred collegiately at Long Island University, where he set NCAA Division II records in faceoff winning percentage and ground balls per game. His dominance at the faceoff circle helped establish him as one of the top specialists in the country.

Now back competing against the best players in the world, the Holtsville native is once again proving why he remains one of the most feared faceoff men in lacrosse.

Farrell’s continued success also serves as another source of pride for the Sachem community, which has produced several standout athletes over the years. As the PLL season continues, Long Island lacrosse fans will certainly be keeping a close eye on “The Milkman” as he looks to add even more accomplishments to an already remarkable career.
