Burner Prudenti Law, P.C. is pleased to announce that Robert Cannon, Esq. has joined the firm as Senior Associate attorney.
Prior to his work at the firm, Robert worked at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University where he served as the Managing Attorney and Project Director of the Robert and Priscilla Livingston Center for Children, Families and the Law. During his tenure at Hofstra Law, Robert oversaw the Center’s extensive Mental Hygiene Article 81 Guardianship and SCPA 17-A caseload. While at Hofstra Law, Robert also served as the Faculty Administrative Editor of the Family Court Review. Robert is an adjunct professor at Hofstra Law, teaching the Guardianship 17-A Practicum.
From 2016 to 2020, Robert worked at a prominent Long Island law firm where his practice concentrated in the areas Elder Law, Trust and Estate Administration, Estate Litigation, Special Needs Planning, and Estate Planning.
Robert was raised in Scotland and earned his Bachelor of Laws and Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Robert moved to New York in 2011 and received his Master of Laws from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
Robert is admitted to practice in New York. He is a member of the American, New York State, and Nassau County Bar Associations.
