A Memorial Day event there was made possible through the efforts of Gail Lynch Bailey, along with the Longwood Alliance, Middle Island Civic Association, Central Brookhaven Lions Club, Scout Troops 433 & 560, Brookhaven Town and Councilman Mike Loguercio, Frank Bailey, Tony & James Bocchimuzzo, Paul Infranco, Van Johnson, Marcel Rosenfeld, Dan Tomaszewski, Kevin Mann, Bugler Jerry Ewald, Jim Dowling, Tom Bove, Steve Pastena, Andy Suderov, the Middle Island, Coram, Gordon Heights, Yaphank and Ridge Fire Departments, U.S. Military Vets Motorcycle Club, Patriot Guard Riders NY, Reliable Garden & Fence, Longwood Central School District, Longwood High School Seal of Civic Readiness students and faculty adviser Jeanne Knudsen, and the Longwood Choralions and Director Brendan Sparks.
