Connetquot's Puts On An Offensive Show

Vincent Feraca threw for over 270 yards and a remarkable five touchdowns as his star shined brighter than anyone. There were plenty of offensive stars in this one though as Javon Barnwell had had 3 receptions for 128 yards & all 3 went for TDs. He also had 3 attempts for 46 yards running the football. Barnwell now has 10 TDs on the season. and he lived in the end zone with three TD catches. Andrew Amarando also saw the end zone multiple times with two receiving TDs.

Students Go Bionic

Prodell sixth graders had the opportunity to work with The Bionic Project on the theme "we are all connected; community is essential." The full day program began with an assembly on topics such as inclusive behavior and language, accessible school and stadium design, media narratives around disabilities and assistive technology. The day continued with adaptive sports clinics led by the four instructors, two of whom are elite athletes with physical disabilities. By the end of the day, students were better able to understand the challenges that students with physical disabilities face, particularly when it comes to playing a sport or participating in physical activities that may seem easy or come naturally to others. However, they were also able to see the power of resilience and hard work.
