Resnick to Compete in the Gymnastics World Championship

Center Moriches fifth-grader Ally Resnick is preparing for the opportunity of a lifetime after qualifying for the United States Association of Independent Gymnastics Clubs (USAIGC) World Championship Competition, which begins next week in Orlando, Florida.

A dedicated competitive gymnast, Resnick will proudly represent New York while competing against some of the top young athletes from around the globe. The international event will feature gymnasts from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, India, South Africa, Dubai, Canada, Australia, Bermuda and Wales, giving the Center Moriches standout a chance to showcase her talents on the world stage.

Resnick earned her spot in the prestigious competition through years of hard work and dedication to the sport. Adding to her impressive accomplishments, she recently captured a third-place All-Around finish in New York State in her age group at the Bronze USAIGC level. The strong showing further cemented her status as one of the area’s rising gymnastics stars.

Her success has been celebrated throughout the Center Moriches community, where family, friends, classmates and school officials are all cheering her on as she heads to Florida for the championship event.

“The Center Moriches community is incredibly proud of Ally’s hard work and success, and we wish her the very best as she takes the world stage this summer,” the Center Moriches School District said in a statement.

Representing both her school district and New York, Resnick will have the opportunity to compete alongside talented gymnasts from around the world while gaining valuable experience on one of the sport’s biggest stages.

As she prepares for the World Championship Competition, the entire Center Moriches community will be rooting for her and celebrating the achievements that have brought her to this remarkable milestone.
