Massage Horror: LI Spa Worker Busted After Complaints

Li-Yong He | SCPD

A Long Island spa worker is behind bars after cops say he turned relaxing massages into alleged moments of violation, and now investigators fear there could be more victims.

Suffolk County Police arrested Li-Yong He, 52, of Levittown, on following multiple allegations that he inappropriately touched women during massage sessions at a Selden spa.

The bust came after a 27-year-old woman reported that He forcibly touched her while she was on the massage table at W Foot Relaxing Spa on Middle Country Road on April 26 around 12:50 p.m., according to police.

The shaken woman immediately demanded he leave the room, then drove straight to the Sixth Precinct to report the incident.

But that wasn’t the only accusation.

After news of the alleged assault surfaced, a second woman came forward, telling detectives she had a similar disturbing encounter with He just two days earlier, on April 24, during a massage at the same spa between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Detectives from the Sixth Squad launched an investigation that led to He’s arrest at the business Thursday night.

He has been charged with forcible touching and unauthorized practice of a profession. Authorities say he was not properly licensed to perform massage services.

He was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip.

Police are urging anyone who may have had a similar experience involving He to come forward as the investigation continues.

Anyone with information or who believes they may be a victim is asked to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.

Officials stressed that the charges are accusations and that He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
