Center Moriches High School recently hosted an evening celebrating student musicianship and achievement during its Districtwide Tri-M Music Honor Society Induction and Recital, bringing together performers from across grade levels in a showcase of talent and growth.

The March event featured a progression of performances beginning with elementary band and chorus students, who demonstrated foundational skills, followed by middle school musicians presenting more advanced selections.

The evening culminated with high school performers delivering polished instrumental and vocal pieces that reflected years of musical development.

Superintendent Dr. Ricardo Soto said the event highlighted both student dedication and the value of arts education within the district. “We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work and passion,” Soto said.

“This recital not only highlights their musical talents, but also brings our community together to celebrate the importance of arts education.”

The program concluded with the induction of 15 students into Tri-M Music Honor Society Chapter 5406. New members included Rebecca Bartha, Kristin Luna, Quinn Walther, Kaitlyn Bukowski, Zachary Matera, Andrew Werler, Lilianna Dugan, Molly Pantol, Xinyi Ye, Isabella Foley, Keira Sckipp, Ethan Zahn, Kayla Kelly, Asia Trent and Lillian Zuhoski.

High school band director and Tri-M advisor Paul Conefry praised the inductees for their accomplishments both in and out of the classroom.

“These students have demonstrated excellence in both academics and music, while also showing a deep commitment to service, leadership, and character,” he said.
