The Town of Brookhaven has announced its tenth annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Luncheon, set to take place on January 19, 2026, at the Bellport Country Club from noon to 3 p.m. The event is co-sponsored by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Rho Omega Zeta Chapter, and the Brookhaven NAACP.

The luncheon aims to honor the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., fostering a sense of unity and service among residents, community groups, faith-based organizations, and local businesses. In previous years, more than 300 people from across Brookhaven have attended the event.

This year’s program will feature guest speakers, a catered meal, scholarship presentations, and a student-focused community service project.

Tickets for adults are priced at $20, while tickets for children aged 12 and under are $5. Seating is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sponsorship opportunities are available until January 10, 2026; interested parties can contact the Department of General Services at 631-451-6331 for details. Sponsors will be recognized on various platforms including the Town’s website and Channel 18 as well as event signage and programs.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the door on the day of the luncheon; however, organizers recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time to secure seating. For further information about sponsorships or ticket sales, individuals should contact the Department of General Services at 631-451-6331.

Bregman is a right-handed pull hitter who previously played in two of the more favorable home parks for that profile in Houston and Boston. Both parks feature short left-field dimensions that reward pulled fly balls and help inflate power numbers.
