University Orchestra to perform at Staller Center on November 11

The University Orchestra will hold a concert at the Staller Center for the Arts on November 11 at 7:30 pm. The event will take place on the Main Stage and will be conducted by Susan Deaver. The program includes Arturo Márquez's Danzón No. 2, Dmitri Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No. 1 in E-flat major, Op. 107, and Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 9 in C major, also known as “The Great.”

Eric Ness, a cellist from Long Island and winner of the Undergraduate Concerto Competition, will be the featured soloist. Ness completed his bachelor of science degree at Stony Brook University in 2025, majoring in mathematics and music. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in data science at UC San Diego.

Tickets for the concert are priced at $15 for general admission, $10 for seniors aged 62 and over, and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased online at stallercenter.com or at the Staller Box Office by calling (631) 632-2787.
