The Stony Brook women's lacrosse team secured its third consecutive CAA Championship by defeating second-seeded Drexel 12-10 on May 3 at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. The team, ranked 19th nationally, has now claimed a total of 11 conference championships, comprising three in the CAA and eight in America East, and has secured its 12th consecutive qualification to the NCAA Tournament.

Hosting the conference playoffs as the top seed, Stony Brook celebrated its 10th conference victory at LaValle Stadium. The team was led by Charlotte Wilmoth, who contributed five points with three goals and two assists. Additionally, Isabella Caporuscio, Alexandra Fusco, and Kylie Budke each scored two goals. Riley McDonald, Casey Colbert, and Courtney Maclay also contributed to the scoreline.

Avery Hines set a new single-season record for Stony Brook by causing six turnovers, bringing her season total to 67 and thus surpassing her previous record of 66 set last season. This achievement marks the highest number of caused turnovers in a single season in the program's history.

Four players—Budke, Caporuscio, Allie Masera, and Molly LaForge—were named to the All-Championship Team, with Budke receiving the honor of Most Outstanding Performer.

Stony Brook, with a 15-4 record, has maintained a 29-game winning streak in CAA conference and tournament games. Head coach Joe Spallina now holds a 23-1 record in conference tournament games with the team, which has won 22 straight conference tournament matches.

Following the selection show on May 4, Stony Brook was matched to play Loyola Maryland (13-6) in the NCAA Tournament's opening round. The game is scheduled for Friday, May 9, at 4 pm in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
