Agostino Keeps The Family Tradition of Winning Going

Smithtown High School West basketball head coach Mike Agostino has joined some elite company.

Agostino earned his 200th career win this past week. Agostino has been coaching at the school for 13 seasons and the school celebrated this huge accomplishment.

Agostino told the district that “It only happens because I have had a bunch of really good players over the years".

He comes from a long line of great coaches. His brother Jack has coached for more than 25 seasons at Amityville. While there he won close to 500 games and is one of only three coaches in New York history to win four consecutive state titles.

His other brother Chris coached more than a decade at Harborfields. He has a state championship under his belt as well.

In March Agostino was also part of some more history when he coached the first ever girls flag football team.
