With a playoff game on the horizon and a championship in their sights, the Ward Melville boys lacrosse program took time out of their practice schedule to visit some real heros. No, not their lacrosse idols, but rather they visited the Stony Brook Veterans Home. The boys spent the day at the home and devoted their time to meet with and enjoy the company of those that served. Ward Melville's head coach Jay Negus said the visit was “Truly a humbling experience,” and then said, “Thank you for your service gentleman. Ward Melville Lacrosse appreciates you!”
