The Longwood varsity baseball team was one of the best on Long Island this season and they were honored this week.

The team took home multiple awards and accolades from their outstanding season. At the Baseball All-League/All-County Awards star pitcher CJ Forman took home an all All-County honor. Dean Ennis and Jaden Urso also were awarded to the All-County team with Urso nabbing a Gold Glove in the process.

Danny Gagliano, Matt Faraone, Brayden Plugues, and Danny Blank all received All-League nods.

The team also received the Walt Williams Award for having the best record in regular season play, with a 16-2 record. That's the first time since 1967 they were able to claim that prestigious honor.

To cap the night off coaches Ryan McSherry earned League 1 Coach of the Year, and Mitch Gregorovic was named League 1 JV Coach of the Year.
