The Longwood girls' JV summer soccer team has won the Town of Brookhaven Championship.

The Lions were the #2 ranked seed and went on to win the Brookhaven Summer Soccer championship. Patchogue-Medford was the #1 ranked team, with Centereach and Rocky Point finishing #3 and 4.

Angelina Wong was the summer scoring leader with 9 goals from Patchogue-Medford. While in the varsity bracket Gianna DaCunha, from Eastport-South Manor led the scoring with 15 goals.

Eastport-South Manor finished as the #1 overall seed for the varsity division.

Record Setting Maggie McCormick Competes at Nationals

The Bay Shore Schools Board of Education recently recognized and congratulated girls varsity cross country standout Maggie McCormick for her outstanding achievements on the track and on the national stage. McCormick, who has committed to the University of Florida, was honored for her performance at the Nike Cross Country Nationals, one of the most prestigious high school running events in the country.
