The Stony Brook Seawolves have won more games in their first season under their new head coach than they had in the past two seasons combined.
That's right the Wolves have now won three games in a row after besting Campbell 24-17. The new-look Wolves used the same sort of formula that led them to their two prior wins...defense, special teams and a terrific ground game.
Roland Dempster was a man on a mission. In the first half alone, he carried the ball 21 times for 127 yards and two TDs. He finished the day with 36 carries for 179 yards, good for a 5-yards-per-game average.
Dempster wasn't alone in impressing the fans. Special teams once again played a pivotal role and the defense was suffocating at times, allowing just two touchdowns all day and keeping the Camels from crossing midfield for a majority of the day. Malachi Marshall completed 13 of 30 passes for 157 yards for Stony Brook.
