Smithtown Just Doesn't Lose

Smithtown's 50 straight win team | Smithtown CSD

Death, taxes and the Smithtown High School cross-country team piling up wins.

The cross country team has been on a remarkable run and are proving to be one of the most consistent teams in all of sports on the island. Smithtown defeated William Floyd this past week to extend their winning streak to 50 consecutive meets.

The winning streak dates back to 2016, which also means no one in the school was there for a loss, and no one in the class above that either. Coach Peter Schieck has done an outstanding job and deserves a ton of credit by keeping the winning going with new students and the turnover year after year. The team is made up of student athletes from

Smithtown High School East and West.
