Casey Stars Again For SWR

Sean Casey is making a name for himself not only in this division, but on the entire Island. Casey is starting to be regarded as one of the very best players the island has and he once again led Shoreham-Wading River to a win this weekend.

Sean Casey ran the ball 20 times for 131 yards to go along with his three touchdown runs. The two way player also picked off a pass and returned it for a touchdown. Shoreham-Wading River beat Wyandanch 59-14. With the win they now move to 3-1 on the season.

Casey's season long stats are outstanding. He has amassed just under 800 all purpose yards to go along with his 13 touchdowns and 41 tackles.

With the loss Wyandanch will still be looking for their first win on the season.

The Bay Shore Schools Board of Education recently recognized and congratulated girls varsity cross country standout Maggie McCormick for her outstanding achievements on the track and on the national stage. McCormick, who has committed to the University of Florida, was honored for her performance at the Nike Cross Country Nationals, one of the most prestigious high school running events in the country.
