Miller Place mustered just 4 hits and one walk against him as they waved at his pitches all day, leading to 11 strikeouts. While all the girls did a wonderful job a few names stood out above the rest. Madelyn Serxner finished 1st in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01:20. Ashley Then and Jackie Antelo finished the same event at 8th and 11th. Lexi Cole ended up taking 2nd place in the 800 meter run while Madison Cole took home 3rd in the 1500 meter.
Jacobs Sprints past a Record
Jacobs, who also plays soccer, has been on fire this year, and really throughout her entire career. As a freshman the Earl L. Vandermeulen High Schooler clinched the 100 meter title at the Suffolk Class C championships in 12.42 seconds. Then she one upped herself by winning the Division II state title in just 12.36 seconds. Athletic Director Adam Sherrard said "That is how Alexa has been running all year. The bigger the moment the faster she runs."
