An exciting “Bootcamp for Patriots” event celebrating America’s 250th anniversary is coming to Ronkonkoma next month, bringing together conservative speakers, grassroots activists and patriotic exhibits for a day focused on civic engagement and constitutional values.

Hosted by the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), the program will feature panel discussions, guest speakers and opportunities for attendees to learn how to become more involved in government and community affairs. The June 20 event will run from noon to 5 p.m. at the America First Warehouse on 13th Avenue in Ronkonkoma.

Organizers say the event is designed to energize Americans who want to play a more active role in shaping the nation’s future.

“This is about showing people they can make a difference,” said AMAC spokesman Dave Kane. “A lot of Americans feel frustrated and think one person can’t have an impact anymore, but we want people to understand there are many ways to get involved locally and nationally.”

The event will include discussions on election integrity, immigration, constitutional rights and parental concerns over education policies. Kane said this year’s Bootcamp will also place special emphasis on the nation’s history and founding principles as part of the America 250 celebration.

“We’re looking at today’s issues through a historical lens,” Kane said. “Whether it’s the Second Amendment or election laws, we want people to understand why these principles were important to the Founders and why many Americans still believe they matter today.”

Featured speakers are expected to include investigative journalist John Solomon, AMAC CEO Rebecca Weber and Real America’s Voice correspondent Ben Bergquam.

The event will also feature the Freedom 250 Truck, a traveling patriotic museum exhibit touring the country in recognition of America’s 250th birthday. A vendor village with patriotic merchandise, handcrafted goods and local businesses is also planned.

AMAC officials said the Bootcamp for Patriots series has traveled to multiple states over the past several years, including Florida, Pennsylvania and Virginia, with future stops planned in Georgia and Texas.

Organizers described the Ronkonkoma gathering as both educational and celebratory, aimed at encouraging greater participation in civic life ahead of the 2026 election season.

AMAC is a national conservative advocacy organization that serves as an alternative to AARP. Founded in 2007, AMAC it represents more than 2 million members nationwide and focuses on issues impacting seniors, retirees and taxpayers. The organization advocates for lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, border security, election integrity and constitutional freedoms while opposing what it describes as government overreach and progressive policies.

Through its AMAC Action division, the group maintains an active grassroots presence in Washington, lobbying Congress and federal agencies on behalf of seniors and conservative causes.

Tickets for the June Bootcamp are $20, and seating is limited. For more information, visit AMAC.us
