The media will do what they always do: move the goalposts, nitpick the details, and pretend nothing happened. Meanwhile, soybean prices are jumping, Boeing is celebrating renewed access to the Chinese market, and American producers are finally seeing a President who fights for them instead of lecturing them about “shared sacrifice.”

Let’s be honest here. China didn’t suddenly wake up feeling generous. They came to the table because Trump understands the one language Beijing respects: power, pressure, and unpredictability. He knows how to negotiate because he negotiates from a position of confidence, not weakness. That’s the difference between a businessman and a career politician reading talking points off a teleprompter.

And the most delicious part? The same people who spent years screaming that tariffs would “destroy America” are now watching China scramble to stabilize relations and secure access to U.S. markets again. Turns out when America stops acting like an ATM for the rest of the world and starts acting like the largest consumer economy on earth, countries pay attention very quickly.
