Top Cop Thanks Deputies During National Police Week

National Police Week | SCSO

To the Deputy Sheriffs of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office,

National Police Week is a time for this nation to pause and recognize the men and women who have chosen a life of service in law enforcement. This week, and every week, I am proud to stand alongside each of you.

Being a Deputy Sheriff means accepting a responsibility that extends beyond a job title. It means showing up, day after day, for a community that may not always see everything you do but depends on you nonetheless. It means making decisions under pressure, carrying the weight of this badge with integrity, and representing this office in every interaction.

This week also calls us to remember those who paid the ultimate price in service to others. Their legacy lives on in the officers who continue to answer the call, and I see that dedication reflected in each of you.

I do not take lightly the trust you place in this office, or the trust this community places in you. The sacrifices you make, and those your families make alongside you, are the foundation of everything we do here.

Thank you for your service, your strength, and your commitment to the people of Suffolk County.

Sincerely,

Errol D. Toulon Jr.Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr.
