The Public Relations Professionals of Long Island have announced two of the 2026 PRPLI Annual Award winners, recognizing excellence in mentorship and media impact ahead of the organization’s annual luncheon in May.

Brooke Oliveri, associate director of communications, marketing and public health initiatives for the Suburban Hospital Alliance of New York State, has been named the 2026 Howard M. Blankman Outstanding Mentor Award recipient.

Oliveri is recognized for her extensive work in health communications and her commitment to guiding interns and PRPLI members. Colleagues say her mentorship has helped many young professionals launch successful careers while also strengthening the organization.

Also honored is Jill Conway, host of the “Secrets of Powerful Women” podcast and founder of Powerful Women USA, who received the 2026 Outstanding Media Award.

A veteran of two decades in television news, Conway now uses her platform to spotlight women’s achievements and challenges. Organizers said her work fosters connection and empowers women to share their stories and grow together.

“Brooke and Jill exemplify the very best of our profession,” PRPLI representatives said.

The awards will be presented during the PRPLI Annual Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, May 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Westbury Manor.

Tickets, sponsorship opportunities and digital journal advertisements are currently available for those wishing to attend or support the event. Additional award announcements, including Campaign of the Year and scholarship recipients, are expected later this week.

PRPLI officials encouraged members of the public relations community to join in celebrating the honorees and their contributions to the industry, noting that both recipients have demonstrated leadership, creativity and a lasting commitment to advancing communications across Long Island and beyond through mentorship, storytelling and collaboration that continues to inspire peers and future professionals alike as the organization prepares for its annual gathering this spring season ahead.
