The William Floyd varsity softball team took time to celebrate a special moment this week, honoring its lone senior, Cameron Horne, during its annual Senior Night ceremony before a matchup against Middle Country.
Led by head coach Frederick Luhrs, the Colonials may be a young team filled mostly with underclassmen, but they made sure to recognize Horne’s dedication and contributions to the program. Surrounded by family members, friends, coaches, and teammates, Horne was celebrated in a heartfelt pregame ceremony that highlighted her commitment and leadership.
Senior Night is always a meaningful tradition, and while William Floyd had just one senior to honor this season, the moment was no less significant. Horne has helped guide a developing team through the challenges of a competitive schedule, serving as an important presence both on and off the field.
