Suffolk County Police arrested a 35-year-old man on sex trafficking and prostitution charges following a domestic incident at a Blue Point motel, authorities said.

Officers from the Fifth Precinct responded to a 911 call at the Shore Motor Inn, located at 576 South Service Road, where they discovered evidence of sex trafficking upon arrival, police said.

Following an investigation by the department’s Human Trafficking Investigations Unit and Fifth Squad detectives, Torrey Brown was taken into custody, officials said.

Detectives seized multiple cellphones, a knife and additional items believed to be connected to the alleged crimes, according to police.

Brown, who police said is undomiciled but formerly lived in Queens, was charged with two counts of sex trafficking, one count of attempted prostitution in the third degree and one count of promoting prostitution in the fourth degree.

He was also charged on a parole warrant issued by New York State Police.

Authorities said Brown was held overnight at the Fifth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip.

Investigators said they believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Police asked anyone with knowledge of the case or possible victims to contact the department’s Human Trafficking Investigations Unit at 631-854-7512.

The arrest highlights ongoing efforts by Suffolk County police to combat human trafficking and exploitation across the region, particularly in transient locations such as motels and inns along major roadways.

Officials have repeatedly warned that such crimes often go underreported and can involve vulnerable individuals who are coerced or manipulated into illegal activity.

Police said the investigation remains active and additional charges could be filed as more information becomes available in the coming days and weeks ahead locally.
