Center Moriches School District is honoring three outstanding staff members who have been nominated for this year’s SCOPE Awards, an annual program recognizing exceptional school employees across Long Island.
The SCOPE Awards celebrate individuals who demonstrate extraordinary dedication, leadership, and commitment to their school communities. This year’s Center Moriches nominees represent excellence in teaching, operations, and district administration.
“Our honorees truly embody the spirit of Center Moriches,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ricardo Soto. “Each one goes above and beyond to support our students, staff, and community. We are incredibly proud to recognize their professionalism and positive impact.”
LisaAnn Zlatniski, a physical education teacher at Center Moriches High School, has served the district with passion since 1997. Known for her energy and inclusive approach, she ensures students of all abilities feel welcomed and supported. Most recently, Zlatniski brought new excitement to the district by coaching and expanding the Unified Athletics program, creating opportunities for students to participate together through sports and teamwork. Her enthusiasm has made her an inspiring educator and valued colleague.
Christopher Harrell, the district’s maintenance crew leader, has made an immediate difference since joining Center Moriches. In a short time, he has demonstrated strong leadership, reliability, and a proactive approach to building operations. His professionalism and positive attitude help ensure district facilities remain safe, efficient, and well maintained for students and staff each day.
Judith Martins, Senior Account Clerk, has been a dedicated member of the district since 2007. Respected for her accuracy, efficiency, and knowledge of district procedures, Martins works behind the scenes to ensure essential responsibilities are completed thoroughly and on time. Her kindness and willingness to assist others contribute to a supportive workplace environment.
The three honorees will be celebrated at SCOPE’s 25th Annual School District Awards Dinner on Monday, March 23, at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook.
