At the February 8 Town Board meeting, Councilman Kevin LaValle recognized Nathan’s Famous and Ashley’s Ice Cream in Ronkonkoma as Business of the Month for February in Council District 3. The award is presented to businesses that make a positive impact on their local community.
Carlos Patterson, owner and manager of Nathan’s Famous and Ashley’s Ice Cream, has operated at the Ronkonkoma location for two years. He was recommended for the recognition by the Centereach Civic Association due to his support during their annual street fair.
Councilman LaValle stated, “I am pleased to honor Nathan’s Famous and Ashley’s Ice Cream as the February Business of the Month in Council District 3. Carlos has helped to make Brookhaven Town a better place to live and I thank him for his community service.”
Other town officials present included Councilwoman Valerie M. Cartright, Councilwoman Jane Bonner, Supervisor Ed Romaine, Councilman Neil Foley, Councilman Michael Loguercio, and Councilman Dan Panico.
