William Floyd School District | Official website

William Floyd High School has announced that class ring ordering days for juniors and seniors will take place on Tuesday, November 4, and Wednesday, November 5. The event will be held during all school lunch periods on both days.

Herff Jones, the company providing the rings, describes class rings as mementos that mark an important period in students' lives. “It’s a symbol of accomplishment, school spirit and class unity," according to Herff Jones.

Information packets detailing available styles and prices will be distributed to all juniors. Additional packets can be found in the assistant principals' offices and the main office. Students are encouraged to pick up a packet before placing their orders.

A free mini-ring on a chain will be given with every order placed at school; this offer does not apply to mail-in orders.

Students are asked to have the “4-Steps” section inside the catalog cover and the yellow box at the top of the order form completed when placing their order. A representative from Herff Jones will assist with filling out order forms and finger sizing.

All rings are custom made based on individual specifications and sizes. "Your Herff Jones class ring is covered by the best warranty in the industry including 'free' resizing and coverage against loss or theft," states Herff Jones.

A down payment is required for all orders: $100 for Ultrium rings, $150 for Extreme rings, and $225 for gold rings. All forms of payment except American Express are accepted, and an easy payment plan is available.

Sample rings will be available for students to try on during ordering days.

For further questions, students can contact Sunderland Assoc., Inc./Herff Jones, Inc. at (631) 226-2270 or by email at sundoman@aol.com.

Don't Expect Bregman to Pay Off

This week, one of the bigger names in the free agency cycle signed with the Chicago Cubs, and fantasy managers everywhere sighed. Usually, anyone heading to Wrigley Field is viewed as a positive, but for Alex Bregman, more information has emerged suggesting this move could spell trouble for his fantasy outlook. Bregman is a right-handed pull hitter who previously played in two of the more favorable home parks for that profile in Houston and Boston. Both parks feature short left-field dimensions that reward pulled fly balls and help inflate power numbers.

Futures Bettors Will Be Smiling

The College Football Championship is set, and it pits two of the more unlikely teams against each other. Indiana may have the largest living alumni base in the country, with more than 800,000 graduates, but few expected the Hoosiers to reach this stage. They feature zero five-star recruits and have instead relied on depth, discipline, and consistency while dominating all season long.
