The William Floyd girls’ varsity swimming team is preparing for the upcoming 2025 season under the leadership of head coach Taylor Connor. The team features returning athletes from last year and welcomes several new swimmers, including students from the Center Moriches School District.

Coach Connor has outlined her goals for the season, focusing on competitiveness and improvement. “My goal this season is to bring on a competitive edge at our meets and get the girls pumped up to race the other teams and get some personal records and wins,” said Coach Connor.

She also noted a promising relay team forming among seniors Kya Cuevas, Joslyn Lawrence, Reese Winter, and Keira Sckipp from Center Moriches.

The Colonials will open their season with a home meet against Sayville/Blue Point at the Brookhaven Aquatic Center on Thursday, September 4 at 5 pm.
