Calling All Vendors: Moriches Chamber Announces Annual Fall Festival

Popular fair set for August 19 | Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches

The Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches is now accepting vendor applications for its Annual Fall Festival, set for October 19. This vibrant community event draws crowds to Main Street in Center Moriches, which will be closed for the duration of the event.

Vendor spots are assigned first-come, first-served and are not guaranteed—early registration is strongly encouraged, especially for those requesting the same location as a previous fair. Go to moricheschamber.com to reserve a spot.

Mailed applications and checks must be received by October 17, according to Chamber Treasurer Gerri Sapanaro. After that date, only cash or money orders will be accepted and must be dropped off at Moriches Bay Realty on Main Street. The cutoff to pre-register is 3:00 p.m. on October 17. Day-of registration is $100 per spot, cash only. Spots are reserved with payment only; vendors can’t call to reserve a space.

Join the fun, connect with the community, and showcase your goods or services at this beloved fall tradition. There is no rain date, so mark your calendars now.

Is There a New Ace in Town?

The New York Mets have a new ace, and fantasy owners have been accustomed to viewing Freddy Peralta as a near-ace for some time. The move to a more pitcher-friendly park should help, but do not overreach, because the reality is that the lineup around him is roughly the same and the bullpen is likely worse at protecting his leads. Peralta has been a standout for years, and slotting him in as a high-value fantasy arm is easy. The question is just how high he should go.
