Brookhaven Town Clerk Kevin LaValle Welcomes Port Jefferson EMS to Town’s Regional Records Center

Clerk Kevin LaValle and Port Jefferson EMS | Town of Brookhaven

Brookhaven Town Clerk Kevin LaValle was at the Town of Brookhaven Regional Record Center in Bellport to welcome Port Jefferson EMS and thank them for leasing out space to store their public records.

State law requires public entities to keep a set of records for a specific length of time, depending on the type of document.

Port Jefferson EMS is the first outside organization that the Town Clerk has worked with to lease the record center space and the first of many civics, fire districts, historic societies, etc. that are interested in the service.

“Collaboration is the key to preserving history and ensuring efficient record management. By partnering with inter-municipal organizations, we are proud to offer secure and accessible storage solutions at our newly renovated record center, safeguarding vital records for generations to come,” said LaValle

The Town Clerk’s office is located at Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill in Farmingville. For more information, call 631-451-9101.

Is There a New Ace in Town?

The New York Mets have a new ace, and fantasy owners have been accustomed to viewing Freddy Peralta as a near-ace for some time. The move to a more pitcher-friendly park should help, but do not overreach, because the reality is that the lineup around him is roughly the same and the bullpen is likely worse at protecting his leads. Peralta has been a standout for years, and slotting him in as a high-value fantasy arm is easy. The question is just how high he should go.
