Jennifer Heitman Board Member | William Floyd School District

The William Floyd Rockettes are set to host their inaugural Winter Clinic on January 11 at William Floyd High School. Led by Daria Fattizzo and Sydney Bentzig, the event is open to dancers from second to eighth grade. The clinic will start at 8:30 am and conclude with a showcase at 12:30 pm.

Participants will have the chance to experience being a "Rockette for a day" and train alongside members of the varsity Rockettes team. The registration fee is $50 per person, payable in cash on the day of the event. Attendees are advised to bring water, jazz shoes, sneakers, appropriate dance attire such as leggings or shorts, and wear their hair up.

In addition to hosting the clinic, the Rockettes recently participated in the annual Christmas parade organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the Mastics & Shirley. Their performance earned them the "Best Performance" award. Kim Swicicki, secretary of the Chamber's Board of Directors, and Frank Montanez Jr., president, presented Ms. Fattizzo, Ms. Bentzig, and Rockettes team members with a plaque in recognition of this achievement.
