The Sayville flag football team are the new Suffolk Class B champions. Olivia Moynihan put the finishing touches on Hauppauge when she connected with Mia DeSimone for a touchdown to send the Golden Flashes to the title.

The TD pass made the final score 22-13 over Hauppauge in one of the better battles we have had this season. The Golden Flashes came in as the #1 overall seed with a perfect 11-0 record and had a formidable opponent in #2 seed Hauppauge, who finished the regular season 11-2.

The Flashes and Moynihan will now face the winner of Plainedge vs. East Rockaway in the Long Island championship this Thursday in Nassau county.
