James Yu and Eric Benderly | Section XI - Suffolk County Athletics | X

Commack's dynamic duo of James Yu and junior Eric Benderly just keep dominating the field and racking up championships. This time Yu and Benderly won the Section XI Doubles Championship.

They won a three-set match in the county semifinals against a good Westhampton duo, who were the runners up last season and then beat the #1 seeded Ward Melville duo 6-3, 7-6 to take home the title. They actually were down 5-2 in the second set but came storming back for the win.

With the win they now qualified for the state tournament. This will be Yu’s third trip with his third different partner.
