Tennis is becoming more and more of a popular sport not just worldwide, but also here on Long Island.

Every major sport wants to target youth leagues to grow the sport and to keep it fresh and new and tennis is no different. This week went a long way in bringing tennis to the children when Connetquot Tennis completed their Summer Prep Camp.

More than 60 kids signed up and participated in the weeklong camp at Connetquot High School. The camp was run by the boys' varsity head coach Ryan Cavanagh and girls' varsity head coach Amy Cohen along with program assistant Leslie Sewell.
