Ronkonkoma Chamber donates $10K to cancer society's breast cancer event

On October 17, a $10,000 donation was made by the Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce to the American Cancer Society's "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" event. The presentation took place at the New York Cancer and Blood Center in Ronkonkoma. This contribution was generated from the community's involvement in the Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce Celebrity Softball Game held on July 28, 2024.

The event was attended by several notable figures including Brookhaven Town Clerk Kevin LaValle, Councilman Neil Foley, Councilman Neil Manzella, and Suffolk County Sheriff Errol J. Toulon. The donation was presented by Edward McNamara, President of the Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce.

The New York Cancer and Blood Center is situated at Hawkins Avenue and Portion Road in Ronkonkoma. In addition to local officials, members of the Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce, representatives from the American Cancer Society, and breast cancer survivors were present for this occasion.
