Hills West Honors Their All Americans
The seniors have excelled at their sports and have been named in rare company as All Americans. Volleyball player Mary Wolcott, Soccer standout Ryan Levy, Joseph Filardi, and Anthony Raio both for their outstanding Lacrosse seasons were all honored.

This year's crop of outstanding talent is as deep as we can remember in Suffolk county and that is why the anticipation for who would bring home the coveted Carl A. Hansen Award was as great as ever at this year's awards ceremony.

This week the Suffolk County Football Coaches Association awards dinner at the Hyatt Regency in Hauppauge, awards were given out to the premiere players in the county.

William Floyd Rolls on Senior Night
The William Floyd girls’ varsity lacrosse team gave its seniors a night to remember, delivering a dominant 15-0 victory over Riverhead on Senior Night. Led by head coach Nicole Alesi, the Colonials continued their outstanding season with the win, which marked their seventh consecutive victory. William Floyd now sits at 7-2 overall and remains a perfect 7-0 in Division I play, strengthening its position as one of the top teams in the league.

There have not been many recent occasions when people could say the New York Jets did everything right, but after this year’s NFL Draft first round, that phrase is being used quite often. In fact, many analysts believe the Jets may have had one of the best opening rounds of any team in the league.

When we previewed the Giants draft last week, many fans believed New York would come away with a wide receiver and a solid defensive player. Names such as Sonny Styles and Caleb Downs were frequently mentioned as possibilities. Instead, the Giants stayed true to a recent trend and once again invested in the pass rush.
