The William Floyd girls’ varsity basketball team, led by head coach Rich Sinclair, recently hosted a “Coaches vs. Cancer/Score for a Cure” game against Riverhead to raise money in the fight against cancer. As part of the initiative, the Colonials also participated in a shoot-a-thon, and through concessions and T-shirt sales, they raised nearly $650 for the American Cancer Society.
