More than 40 school districts, education partners, and state legislators gathered at the Longwood Central School District for the 22nd Annual Regional Legislative Breakfast. The event focused on building partnerships between educators and policymakers to address student-centered priorities.

The breakfast included participation from Senators Martinez, Mattera, and Murray; Assemblymembers DeStefano, Durso, Fitzpatrick, Kassay, Schiavoni, and Smith; Honorable Regent Felicia Thomas-Williams; as well as co-sponsors Eastern Suffolk BOCES and Suffolk Region PTA.

According to organizers, "For 22 years, this breakfast has created the space where Long Island’s education leaders and policymakers come together and we are proud to continue to lead that initiative."

The annual event serves as a forum for open discussion about educational issues facing Long Island schools. It aims to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders by encouraging dialogue on policies that impact students in the region.
