Free music for all ages. | Chat GPT

Got a new smartphone or earbuds for the holidays? Did you know you can get free music downloads from your library? Anyone with a library card has free access to more than 15 million songs from over 28,000 labels, including the entire Sony Music catalog.

With the Freegal Music service, library cardholders can:

• Download up to five songs per week to keep and stream music for up to three hours per day. Cardholders can track their remaining downloads in the upper-right corner of the site. Each song includes a sample clip that can be played before downloading, though users must be logged into the website to access samples.

• Enjoy easy access by visiting the library’s digital services portal at http://www.communitylibrary.org/digital and clicking “Music.” Downloads are provided in MP3 format with no digital rights management (DRM). Music videos are also available in MP4 format with no DRM. The service works on most computers, tablets, smartphones, and media players. The Freegal Music mobile app is free in the Apple® App Store and Google® Play. Library staff are available to help cardholders with their first download or app setup.

• Download music videos, which count as two of the three weekly downloads. A video cannot be downloaded unless two downloads are available.

• Use the search engine, which offers both simple and advanced search options and typically returns results by album title.

Freegal Music appeals to all age groups. From the latest Billboard hits and children’s songs for long car rides to classical, jazz, gospel, and show music, the library offers something for everyone to enjoy.

Don't Expect Bregman to Pay Off

This week, one of the bigger names in the free agency cycle signed with the Chicago Cubs, and fantasy managers everywhere sighed. Bregman is a right-handed pull hitter who previously played in two of the more favorable home parks for that profile in Houston and Boston. Both parks feature short left-field dimensions that reward pulled fly balls and help inflate power numbers.

Futures Bettors Will Be Smiling

The College Football Championship is set, and it pits two of the more unlikely teams against each other. Indiana may have the largest living alumni base in the country, with more than 800,000 graduates, but few expected the Hoosiers to reach this stage. They feature zero five-star recruits and have instead relied on depth, discipline, and consistency while dominating all season long.
