Suffolk County Community College announces fall theatre season lineup

Suffolk County Community College has announced its Theatre Arts Program and Lively Arts Series schedule for the fall 2025 season. The lineup includes a variety of performances at both the Michael J. Grant Campus in Brentwood and the Ammerman Campus in Selden.

The season begins with "Almost Selena," a tribute band performance celebrating the music of Selena, scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Van Nostrand Theatre on the Michael J. Grant Campus.

"Mere Mortals" by David Ives will be performed on October 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, and 18 at 7:30 p.m., with matinee shows on October 12 and 19 at Theatre 119 in the Islip Arts Building on the Ammerman Campus. The production is directed by Bryan Kimmelman.

On Sunday, November 2, "Canine Circus" will bring a comedy show featuring performing dogs to Van Nostrand Theatre.

"Urinetown – The Musical," written by Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis and directed by Steven Lantz-Gefroh, is set for November 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, and 22 at Shea Theatre in Selden. Matinee performances are scheduled for November 16 and November 23.

An "Old-Fashioned Holiday Celebration" will take place on Sunday, December 7 at Van Nostrand Theatre. This event combines music, acrobatics, and dance as part of a holiday showcase.

Winter Music Concerts are planned for December 11 and December 12 at Shea Theatre. These student concerts are free to attend and open to the public.
