On May 8, 2025, Supervisor Dan Panico and Councilman Neil Manzella inaugurated the Bald Hill Fair with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Catholic Health Amphitheater in Farmingville, New York. The fair will continue until May 18, offering a variety of rides, games, shows, and activities suitable for all ages.

Supervisor Panico remarked on the event's significance: “This has really become a great annual tradition and there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.”

Councilman Manzella highlighted the fair's attractions by stating, “Rides, game, fried foods, and fireworks… what more can you ask for?! A fun event for the whole family right in our backyard.”

After the opening ceremony, both officials engaged in a friendly basketball game on the Midway. This year's fair includes both familiar attractions and new offerings. Fireworks displays by Grucci are scheduled every Saturday night at dusk.

Don't Expect Bregman to Pay Off

This week, one of the bigger names in the free agency cycle signed with the Chicago Cubs, and fantasy managers everywhere sighed. Bregman is a right-handed pull hitter who previously played in two of the more favorable home parks for that profile in Houston and Boston. Both parks feature short left-field dimensions that reward pulled fly balls and help inflate power numbers.

Futures Bettors Will Be Smiling

The College Football Championship is set, and it pits two of the more unlikely teams against each other. Indiana may have the largest living alumni base in the country, with more than 800,000 graduates, but few expected the Hoosiers to reach this stage. They feature zero five-star recruits and have instead relied on depth, discipline, and consistency while dominating all season long.
